Less Than a Month - Weeks 11 & 12

Sorry again for taking another week off. Having my family here was a blast but I ended up getting a bad stomach bug last weekend so I was in no condition to try to write anything. It was really special getting to show my family around the city I've called home the last few months. Those months have flown by too quickly, now I have just 3 weeks left.

Coming here I knew that things would eventually fly by. I just refused to believe it when it actually started to happen. With the semester getting closer to its end I've spent more time on my classes and figuring out final projects and my last assignments before the final. To be honest I've become a little burnt out. That's pretty normal for me at this point in the semester, but being unable to lean on my friends or family since I'm away has made it a bit difficult. Phone calls can only do so much you know. I know that I'll make it through just fine, I always do, but that doesn't make it any easier.

I'm ready to go home and see everyone again. That doesn't mean I won't miss it here. There are so many things about Europe in general that I love and won't really have back home. For one, most cities are very walkable and pedestrian-friendly. Also, people take things slower here. There isn't a need to rush a meal or your walk (unless you are running late to class). Back in the States, there's always a sense of a need to move and to get things done quickly over getting them done well.

Overall though, I'm really glad I had this experience. I may not update again for a while because of my need to focus on school more. So I promise I'm not dead if that's the case!
